We’re excited to present The Obesity Collective’s Annual Report for 2022-2023, marking a year of significant strides in obesity advocacy in Australia. This year’s report reflects our collective efforts to address the multifaceted challenges posed by this global health issue.

Our report highlights our key achievements, showcasing advancements in obesity prevention, treatment, and public awareness. Through partnerships with our expert leaders, organisations, and supportive advocates, we’ve made impactful strides towards a healthier future.

Some highlights from our work in the last year (2022-23) include:

  • Developing our newly launched ‘Actions Hub’
  • A major media footprint with 358 Obesity Collective mentions across broadcast and print/online media and a potential reach of 192 million
  • Developing a stigma training program for healthcare professionals
  • Establishing our stigma expert group
  • Launch of our report on obesity as an ESG topic (for corporate shared leadership)
  • Participating at the International Congress on Obesity
  • Launch of our new website
